Early 1920s postcard featuring the uphill stretch at Summit Hill. This gravity railroad, the second in the country, was used to move anthracite (coal) and became the inspiration for the modern day roller coaster. Card was never mailed. Card measures appx. 3 1/2" wide by 5 1/2" tall. Condition is Very good/Excellent, with no folds, no tears, no holes. Corners show some wear.
