Well preserved illustration of the U.S. Frigate Hudson, Drawn and Engraved Expressly for the New Mirror by W.J. Bennett. Salvaged from damaged publication.

The USS Hudson was a wooden hulled, three-masted sailing frigate in the United States Navy. Hudson (formerly Liberator), was built in 1826 for the Greek government by Smith & Dimon of New York. When Greece was unable to pay for her, she was purchased by the Navy and commissioned at New York.

Measures appx. 10.375" wide by 6.75" tall. The back is blank.

Condition is Very Good/Excellent, with no crease folds, no writing, very minor staining, no rips, no holes, highly detailed.
