Original 1872 illustrated bank check dated January 17, 1872. Illustration of a dog's head and a dog listening to an olde tyme radio. Printed by Geo. E. Selleck. Check payable to Geo. E. Higley for the sum of $171.65. First issue orange two cent Inter. Rev. Tax Stamp. Measures appx. 7.5" wide by 2.75" tall. Stamp is hand cancelled with date and the check is signed.
Condition is Very Good/Excellent, with no stains, no rips, no modern writing.
